Objects
The objects of the Association are:
- to bring peoples of all spiritual beliefs and cultures to appreciate each other's distinctive beliefs and practices.
- to foster the study of these spiritual beliefs and cultures to discern and appreciate their common spiritual dimensions, values and aspirations.
- to promote the study of and research into the historical, political, economic, social, religious and ethnic causes of conflicts between people of different creeds and colour in order to seek to overcome conflict, ignorance, fear and mistrust through education about each other’s faith and
- to promote for the benefit of the community, education in those fundamental ethical teachings common to all spiritual traditions which foster respect and understanding between people of different beliefs.
Memberships
The following categories of membership are provided in the Constitution:
| Organisational Membership | Any organisation that subscribes to the aims and objectives of the Multifaith Association. |
| Ordinary Membership | Any natural person interested in any or all of the objects of the Association |
| Student membership | Any natural person being engaged in full-time or part-time course
of study who is interested in the objects of the Association (conditions apply) |
Application for membership is to be made in writing, signed by the applicant or where the applicant is an organisation, by an officer or representative of the organisation.
